Paolo Bertolucci, from the columns of ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport,’ analyzed the bad start to the season of Matteo Berrettini, who was eliminated in the first round at both the Australian Open (first slam of the season) and Indian Wells (first Masters 1000 of 2023).

According to Bertolucci, then, Berrettini must immediately get back on the road, even in less prestigious tournaments, to regain the feeling of victory: “It would not be a technical insult to play at the Phoenix Challenger without letting two weeks go by without a match between now and Miami.
