Sports director on Yamaha’s courtship of Valentino Rossi’s VR46 team: “If it happens it will be in 2025”
Ducati sports director Paolo Ciabatti seems to be closing the door for good has a possible contract between Valentino Rossi’s Mooney VR46 Racing Team and Yamaha next season.
“Their team is working very well with us, I understand that Yamaha has a special relationship with Valentino Rossi and VR46 and they obviously have an interest in getting a satellite team back, but I think it will have to happen in 2025.”
“We are in a free market, I understand that eight bikes is a lot but we need other manufacturers to be able to offer equally competitive packages at equally competitive prices,” Ciabatti concluded.
