Inter, Marotta drastic on Lukaku’s future
Inter CEO Marotta: “He’s not the one we knew, and in June he will return to Chelsea.”
Inter CEO Beppe Marotta set the record straight to Sky on Romelu Lukaku’s future: “I emphasize that the loan has been made for one season, until June 30, regardless of what is his performance he necessarily returns to Chelsea. I have to emphasize how this season is an abnormal season, the problems that we have other teams have as well, I am referring to those players who took part in this abnormal World Cup disputes.”
“Lukaku is an example, Brozovic is still not back to the Brozovic we know. Both of them have been struggling with different injuries, they have never recovered well. Lukaku has not recovered well, not from the injury but from finding that competitive form, which makes it almost his main characteristic, his prevalence is physical and competitive impressiveness. He is still not at the top as we have seen him in previous years.”
