Milan-Turin, Arvid de Kleijn after triumph: “I am over the moon.”
Arvid de Kleijn wins Milan-Turin.
Arvid de Kleijn is the winner of the 2023 edition of the Milan-Turin, one of the most anticipated one-day races of the international cycling season. The Tudor Pro Racing rider beat Fernando Gaviria (Movistar Team) and Casper Van Uden (Team DSM) in a sprint.
De Kleijn certainly did not hide his enthusiasm at the end of the race, as shown by the words reported by the official channels of RCS Sport, which organizes the race: “I am over the moon,” he said, “The team did an excellent job for me. I had confidence this morning because I knew I could count on them. They got me in the right position to win and I beat world-class sprinters. Wonderful.”
For De Kleijn, it was his first success of the season: the Dutchman, who will be 29 years old next March 21, had not won since May 3, when he won the first stage of the Four Days of Dunkirk.
