Sprint Race Argentina: Binder mocks Bezzecchi, Pecco Bagnaia 6th
A spectacular race, decided in a photo finish.
Brad Binder takes the Sprint Race of Termas de Rio Hondo, beating on the last straight an arrembant Marco Bezzecchi who just in the last laps had broken the delay trying to snatch the victory from him. The Mooney VR46 Racing Team’s magical Saturday is completed by Luca Marini’s third place. Excellent fourth is a reborn Franco Morbidelli, sixth the world champion Pecco Bagnaia: the bearer of the official Ducati team lost the long battle with Alex Marquez.
In the early stages of the race it’s a duel between Marquez and Morbidelli, then a Binder pops up and takes the lead of the race on the third lap to never let go. Already at this stage begins the battle between Bagnaia and Marquez, ended only on the last lap. Behind Binder’s KTM, on the other hand, it was first Bezzecchi and then Marini who threatened the place of honor to a Morbidelli who was eventually forced to let them both pass.
Bitter race finally for Joan Mir and Aleix Espargarò, both crashed and forced to retire.
