F1, Damon Hill praises Fernando Alonso

F1, Hill clear on Alonso: “He understands and knows the industry a bit like Michael Schumacher did.”

During the latest episode of the “F1 Nation” podcast, 1996 world champion Damon Hill had words of praise for Fernando Alonso. “He understands the rules very well. You can expect that from someone who has been in F1 for a long time and has been through different experiences. He has invested in this area and now he knows it and understands it like Michael Schumacher did. Schumi was able to know in advance where there were possibilities and not let them slip away. The same thing applies to Fernando. It would be great to see him in the role of team principal in the future,” said the British driver.

“He is not limited to just the role of a driver, as within the team he is much more than that. He is a determined person who would like to have more and more information to interact better with his team. He would also be able to deal with strategy if there was a chance,” Hill added.
