Angelo Ogbonna may return to Italy
As the team struggles to make the playoffs, Cagliari’s management is hard at work preparing for the upcoming market. Among Tommaso Giulini’s priorities is to acquire an experienced central defender who can also lead his teammates in terms of charisma.
The Sardinian club’s latest idea is Angelo Ogbonna. Raised in the ranks of Torino, the seasoned center back has also played for Crotone and Juventus. In July 2015 he moved to England, to West Ham, and his contract expires in June.
The English club would like to rejuvenate the department and in all likelihood will not offer a renewal to the 1988 class. At the moment Cagliari has made a survey: much will depend on the outcome of the season of Ranieri’s boys.
