Lorenzo Musetti regains victory in Monte Carlo: now the derby with Luca Nardi awaits him
Monte Carlo: Lorenzo Musetti regains his smile and enters second round
Lorenzo Musetti regains his smile on his debut in the Monte Carlo Masters 1000. The Carrara-based tennis player beat Miomir Kecmanovic in two sets with a score of 7-6 6-0 in an hour and a half of play.
In the first set, to tell the truth, it is the Italian who suffers the most: in fact, Musetti concedes two very dangerous break points to his rival under 3-4, but gritting his teeth he manages to save himself and drag the partial up to the tie-break, which he conquers for 7 points to 1 with some great strokes. In the second set Lorenzo gains confidence while Kecmanovic surrenders: the world number 21 can thus ramp it up, even dealing a bagel to the Serbian tennis player.
In the second round Musetti will face in a blue-tinged derby Luca Nardi, who got rid of Monegasque qualifier Valentin Vacherot with a double 7-5, getting his first win in a Masters 1000.
