Sergio Scariolo is not satisfied: “Victory okay, but we have problems”
With some trepidation, the lone summit remains.
Virtus Bologna still leads Serie A after the 81-83 victory obtained on the court of Scafati. Just enough to keep the two-point lead over Olimpia Milano, but Sergio Scariolo admitted that from now on for the ‘Black Vu’s’ every challenge could prove very complex.
“In this moment of the season every team plays with a goal, and that’s why our victory is very important,” Scariolo explained after the game. “Scafati took the court with character and pride, so much so that in the final they came in contact. And if it happened it is because of their merits, but also because of some of our demerits. In particular, we had problems with our outside defense, as well as some distractions and lack of discipline.”
“We know very clearly how we intend to improve in the area of perimeter defense. We will do that when some players come back. Now we definitely aim to take first place, but even more important is to get to the playoffs in the best possible shape,” Scariolo added.
