Matteo Berrettini candid about his difficult period
Matteo Berrettini doesn’t hide
Matteo Berrettini, during an interview with ‘Style,’ a magazine of the ‘Corriere della Sera,’ spoke among other things about his sportingly difficult period, trying to explain why he has not yet shifted into the right gear this season.
“The last two years have been full of victories but also very tiring,” he said. “Injuries, then, made me lose the pleasure of the game, because I used to go down the field thinking I had to make up for lost time. Now I hope to regain the joy of playing tennis.”
On goals related to 2023, Berrettini clarified, “Last year I had to skip the clay court season and I would like to make up for it. The goal is to do well in the big tournaments.”
