The Frenchman’s contract expires at the end of the season
There is much talk in England about Kanté’s future. The French midfielder’s contract is expiring and, at the moment, his renewal with Chelsea is not yet certain, indeed there would be doubts, especially related to the player’s physical condition (so many injuries in the last period).
According to The Mirror, Barcelona has reportedly set its sights on Kanté and is ready to come forward with an important proposal: a two-year contract. The problem remains the high salary that the 1991-born Kanté receives at the Blues (currently over 17 million euros, net, per season). The Blaugrana do not have that much disposable income.
