MotoGp, Bezzecchi honest about the importance of meeting with Valentino Rossi

During an interview with “Speedweek,” current World Championship leader Marco Bezzecchi wanted to look back over the stages of his career, dwelling on the importance of Valentino Rossi and the VR46 Academy in his growth path.

“In 2015 I won seven out of ten races in CIV. Valentino was also watching the races, and at the end of the year I received an invitation to join the Academy. The first time I met him at the ranch it was great, because he knew everything about me: he knew my name, what kind of rider I was, my riding style…. I didn’t expect that,” said the rider from Rimini.

“In the beginning it was Mahindra that supported me. In fact, I didn’t have to pay anything at the Junior Worlds and the first year at the Worlds. When they retired, fortunately I was already in the Academy. I am really grateful because without them it would have been impossible to make it to MotoGp,” added the World Championship leader on the role of Valentino Rossi’s Academy.

“Vale is always with us. We talk often and he wants to know how things are going. Sometimes he also gives me advice on how to approach a certain corner or how I should behave in the pits,” Bezzecchi concluded, returning to Valentino Rossi.
