MotoGp, Marc Marquez tells all about his problems
“I tried everything, I did everything to be here”: Marc Marquez in an interview with Sky explained why he will also have to skip the Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez de la Frontera, his third in a row after his crash in Portimao.
“Three medical teams told me that it would take six to eight weeks to recover from the hand problem, I did everything I could to return to Jerez but the risk is too high,” are the Catalan rider’s words. “There was a risk of a new operation in case of another injury, it could cost me my career.”
Marquez also commented on the double long lap penalty: “The team appealed, but I think for a rider the worst penalty is to be out three races in a row due to injury…. Now I don’t think about that, I think about being in Le Mans,” he concluded bitterly.
