Fabio Quartararo, words of surrender: “Yamaha limit already reached”
All too honest words that seem to resemble a message of surrender.
Fabio Quartararo allowed himself an impressive 88 laps in Jerez during Monday’s MotoGP test. And despite posting the third fastest time, just a tenth and a half behind leader Marco Bezzecchi, the Frenchman’s words sound very bitter. Particularly about the competitiveness of his Yamaha.
“I feel a little happier after today’s work, which focused on the new tires at full load and in hot weather,” Quartararo explained at the end of the day. “In fact, the best times came out earlier, I did some too, and that’s a good sign. The problem is the dry lap, which continues to be lacking.”
“When I need to keep a competitive pace, the times are also good. The problem is that they remain the same even during the time attack,” Quartararo added. “I’m always running at the limit, and that’s something we need to find a solution on. The real fact is that we have already reached the limit of this M1.”
