Helmut Marko spoke to the F1 Nation podcast after Sergio Perez’s victory in Baku: “What he is doing is not to be underestimated. Since he came to us he has started to work.”
“I don’t take credit for the success, but before he was a Mexican driver who was enjoying life. He still does, but now he does the necessary work. Last year he was looking at how many GPs the Rodriguez brothers had won, whereas now he is the most successful Mexican rider. They have a long history of being good drivers,” the Red Bull house advisor ruled.
It was Sebastian Vettel who was the first driver to win a world championship with Red Bull. The German put everyone in line for four years in a row, from 2010 to 2013.
