F1 Lewis Hamilton: new admission about Ferrari
Mercedes driver Lewis Hamiton the sidelines of the Miami GP spoke about his future. The British driver’s contract is expiring at the end of the season, and at the moment he has not yet renewed, sparking all sorts of rumors.
Among the rumors is a landing at Ferrari: “I would be lying if I said I never thought about ending my career elsewhere. I thought and watched the Ferrari drivers on the screens at the track and of course I wondered what it would be like to be in red. I started in McLaren and liked to think that I would always be part of the McLaren family.”
“Then I came to my team, to Mercedes, and this is my home. I’m happy with where I am. I haven’t signed a contract yet, but we are working on it.”
Sporting results for now do not favor a deal: “If Toto was talking to another driver, he would tell me, and vice versa I with a team. I never talked to others behind my team’s back just to see if I could get them to raise the bar. I never played that game and neither did he.”
