Simone Pianigiani close to agreement with Cedevita Olimpija
Simone Pianigiani is reportedly close to returning to the bench after a period of inactivity following his time with the Beijing Ducks. According to reports from ‘Sportando,’ in fact, the former head coach is close to a deal for next season with Cedevita Olimpija, a club engaged in the Adriatic League as well as the Slovenian league.
Among the assistants would be another Italian, Andrea Turchetto, who has worked with the Siena-born coach before. Pianigiani, 54 years old next May 31, has coached Mens Sana Siena, Fenerbahce, Hapoel Jerusalem and Olimpia Milano in the past, in addition to the aforementioned experiences with Italbasket and Beijing Ducks.
