F1, Red Bull: Helmut Marko adamant on Max Verstappen-Sergio Perez dualism
Helmut Marko speaks out on dualism in Red Bull house
Helmut Marko, at the microphones of Austrian TV ORF, spoke out about the dualism in the Red Bull house, in the aftermath of a Miami GP dominated by the Milton Keynes stable, with Max Verstappen finishing first ahead of teammate Sergio Perez.
“Worried about a repeat of the Vettel-Webber and Verstappen-Ricciardo incidents? A little bit, both drove on the limit. In any case Max and Checo can drive freely, as they are doing now. They are two reasonable drivers, enough to not do stupid things on the track.”
Marko also talked about the race strategy that led to the Dutchman’s comeback from ninth to first place: the hard tire turned out to be better than expected, and then Max can keep an incredible pace in extreme situations. He handled the first part of the race well, then he went wild.”
