Internationals of Italy without more Azzurri, Musetti also eliminated
After Sinner’s bitter defeat, Musetti also says goodbye to Roman tournament
There are no more Italians competing in the Internazionali d’Italia draw, currently being held in Rome. After Sinner’s bitter elimination at the hands of Cerundolo, Musetti’s came as well.
The Italian, at the end of a match that ended almost at 2 a.m., surrendered to Tsitsipas in two sets (7-5, 7-5 the partials). Musetti played a good test but, in the decisive moments, the Greek’s greater experience made the difference. Once again, there will be no Italian to lift the trophy of the Internazionali d’Italia (the last to do so remains Panatta back in 1976).
