Mimmo Criscito hung up his boots in the best way possible

He couldn’t have dreamed of a better ending, Mimmo Criscito, for his career: in fact, the 1986-class defender scored on a penalty kick, in minute 94 of the last day of the championship, the winning goal in the challenge between his Genoa and Bari, in front of the fans who have come to appreciate him since his debut in the red and blue first team, dated 2003.

But the adventure at the Grifone, for the Cercola native, is far from over. In fact, having closed his experience as a player (in addition to his time with Genoa, Criscito has also worn the jerseys of Juventus, Zenit and Toronto FC), Criscito will occupy a position within the club, most likely as coach of one of the youth teams.

The love story between Criscito and Genoa, in short, does not stop: the embrace of the ‘Ferraris’ crowd, in a season that culminated with Genoa’s return to Serie A, will still remain in the memory of the player himself and the fans.
