Andrea Pirlo’s adventure in Turkey has come to an end.
Andrea Pirlo’s adventure on the bench of Turkish club Fatih Karagumruk has already ended after less than a year. Following three consecutive league defeats, the coach and the club, currently ninth in the standings, have decided to break off their partnership with three days left. The former Juventus coach had arrived in Turkey last June after a year without a team following his farewell to the Bianconeri at the end of the 2020-2021 season.
Here is the text of the statement on the club’s official website, “Since there are no prerequisites to continue with Coach Pirlo and his staff during the next season, the club has authorized the coach to leave the team early, with the hope that this decision will help him to better plan his future. We are very happy to have spent a year together with Andrea and thank him for the work he has done. Best of luck!”
