F1, only disappointments for Charles Leclerc in Monte Carlo

To date, his best result is a fourth place in Monte Carlo

The Monaco GP is being run this weekend. For Leclerc, it is the event he cares most about. A Monegasque, he is at home in Monte Carlo. However, at least until now, the Monaco GP has never brought him so much luck.

His first appearance, in the 2018 World Championship driving the Sauber, was not transcendental (18th place finish). Even worse the following year. On his debut with Ferrari he was forced to retire. Skipping the 2020 edition (GP not held due to the well-known Covid issues), Leclerc seemed destined for success in 2021: pole position but, at the time of the race, forced retirement before even starting due to technical problems. And here we are in 2022 with Leclerc still making pole position but finishing fourth due to unlucky stable strategies. The hope is that, this year, it will be the right time.

In this horror start to the season (34 rainbow points, only one podium in Baku), Leclerc would badly need a big result to revive himself. Will he find, at last, satisfaction at home?
