Treviso says goodbye to Marcelo Nicola

Nutribullet Treviso says goodbye to Marcelo Nicola. This was announced by the Treviso club itself through an official note released on its website.

“The club informs that Marcelo Nicola will not sit on the bench of TVB in the next sports season.
The club would like to sincerely thank Nicola for his commitment and achievements during the last 22/23 season and the final 21/22 season. Coach Marcelo will always be remembered and thanked by the Trevisan club and fans for managing to achieve both times the goal-salvation and staying in A1 even in situations that were not easy,” the statement reads.

“The character and passion that had already made the fans of the Palaverde fall in love with him in his past as a player, the attachment to Treviso shown already in 2012 when he had worked in first person at the restart of Treviso basketball were also confirmed in his experience as coach of Nutribullet Treviso Basket, until the unforgettable final battle with Virtus Bologna that sealed the second consecutive salvation conquered by the Argentine coach.”

“The ability to have first regenerated and then created a solid group on the court and his deep bond with the city and the Treviso environment have made a positive difference in a season and a half of great emotions culminating the permanence in the top series.”

“The society with friendship and esteem thanks Marcelo Nicola for his professionalism, commitment and the results obtained, wishing him the best for the future of his career.”

Replacing the Argentine coach should be Frank Vitucci, who just left Brindisi. According to ‘Radiomercato’ all that is missing is the announcement, expected in the coming hours.
