Paolo Galbiati is the new coach of Dolomiti Energia Trentino: three-year agreement for the Lombard coach with the HCL club.

Galbiati, class of ’84 native of Vimercate (Monza and Brianza), filed a brief career as a player and began coaching at the youth level in 2007: after experiences in Robbiate and Bernareggio he landed at the youth sector of Olimpia Milano, where he won the Under-17 Scudetto in 2013. In 2016 his first season in Serie A as assistant to Luca Banchi first and Carlo Recalcati later on the bench of Torino, a team that in 2018 he leads as head coach to the conquest of the Italian Cup. The following season he was still at Auxilium, first as Larry Brown’s assistant and then from December again as technical guide. After an experience in Biella ended early because of Covid, he landed in 2020 in Cremona, which he coaches for two seasons in Serie A until 2022. Last season he served as “deputy” at Varese.

From 2021 to 2022 Coach Galbiati was also part of the technical staff of the Italian national team, with which he competed in the Tokyo Olympic Games.
