Roland Garros, Carlos Alcaraz advances to the round of 16, beats Shapovalov

In the third round of Roland Garros, world number one Carlos Alcaraz prevailed over Denis Shapovalov with a score of 6-1 6-4 6-2 in two hours and ten minutes of play. The second set was the only really hard-fought one, where the Canadian managed to take a 4-1 lead, but the Spaniard from then on turned the tide, conceding only two more games to his opponent before clinching the victory.

In the round of 16, the Murcia native will face Lorenzo Musetti, who had a convincing victory over Cameron Norrie in three sets.
