Golf, Rose Zhang’s masterpiece: wins on LPGA debut
The two-time NCAA champion is already a star in women’s golf
In her outright debut in an LPGA tournament, Rose Zhang went big, managing to take home the prestigious Mizuho Americas Open. She is the first player to win an LPGA tournament in her official debut since Beverly Hanson back in 1951. She did it at the age of 20 years and 11 days (youngest winner of an LPGA tournament in 2023).
“I just can’t believe it. Just last week I won in the NCAA with my teammates…. I turned pro right away, came here, and it was just amazing. A really exhilarating journey,” her words reported by ESPN.
