Torino makes official the purchase of a new goalkeeper

Torino makes official the purchase of a new goalkeeper: he is Mihai Popa, a Romanian extreme defender, class of 2000, who arrives on a zero-parameter basis.

“Torino Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of the player Mihai Popa, effective July 1, 2023,” reads the statement issued by the Granata club.

“Popa was born in Constanta, Romania, on October 12, 2000. At 190cm tall, the goalkeeper grew up footballingly in Academia Hagi and made his professional debut with Farul Constanta. Purchased by Astra Giurgiu in 2019, he then gained experience on loan with Rapid Bucharest in 2020 before returning to Astra the following year, where he made his debut in Romania’s top league. In 2021, the move to Voluntari, a club with which he made 77 appearances in the last two seasons.”
