Milan Foundation receives ‘Let’s Build Kindness in Sports’ award

The “Let’s Build Kindness in Sports” award, which values kindness through sports, was presented to Milan Foundation for its commitment to promoting accessibility to sports for all, offering educational and social support to meet community needs both in emergency situations and in daily life. The award was presented to Rocco Giorgianni, secretary general of Milan Foundation, at the Milan House headquarters by Let’s Build Kindness Ambassadors Silvia Sardi, a journalist and sports manager from Brescia, Italy, of Ones Media House, and Gaia Simonetti, a Florentine journalist and creator of the Kindness Alphabet.

This year the Rossoneri foundation celebrated its 20th anniversary and since its establishment has implemented more than 230 projects, donated more than 12 million euros and developed structured projects alongside 170 organizations in Milan, Italy and 23 other countries around the world. In its first 12 months of the award, conceived by the Tuscan Group of Sports Journalists Ussi and the Cor et Amor Association, the recognition for commitment to social work through sport in soccer has gone to Stefano Pioli, coach of AC Milan; Federica Cappelletti, wife of ’82 World Champion Paolo Rossi; Anna Astori, mother of Davide; Manuel Pasqual; and also in soccer to 3Team Asd Brescia Calcio Femminile, Italy’s first women’s soccer team.
