Luca Marini in an interview with Sky commented on his fourth place in the Italian Grand Prix: “I am so happy with fourth place because it was really an unexpected result, of course when you are third you would like to at least be on the podium. When Zarco passed me I did everything I could to hang on and try for the last two laps, but I really couldn’t take it anymore. I couldn’t hold on to the grip at the end of the straight on braking, because that’s where the bike dribbles so much when you’re in the slipstream.”

“I’m so sorry because a podium here would have been a dream, but I’m putting that dream off until next season.”

Thanks to the fans: “I want to thank all the fans who came to see us, because today was a full Mugello or almost full, and it was really beautiful. It makes such a difference for us riders to see the grandstands and the lawns full, with the flags and the smoke bombs. So it’s so cool.”
