Genoa, Simeone idea for attack: the Grifone’s strategy
Genoa thinks about Giovanni Simeone
Ahead of the return to Serie A, the Genoa management at work to reinforce the squad available to coach Alberto Gilardino, with a new idea for the attack: according to ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport’ reports, in fact, the Grifone is thinking of getting its hands back on Giovanni Simeone, already in the Rossoblù in the 2016/17 season, which ended with salvation in Serie A and 11 goals overall in the season for Cholito.
Before implementing any move, however, the Ligurian club must wait for Napoli’s decision on the Argentine striker’s redemption: in fact, currently, Simeone is owned by Hellas Verona, which in the loan granted the right of redemption to the partenopei, a right that may be exercised (or not) in the coming days.
Once the club to which he belongs has been defined following Napoli’s decision, Genoa will then be able to figure out who to deal with: the market strategy, among other things, envisages the possible use of technical quid pro quos for another player owned by the partenopei, the outside Zanoli, seen in the second part of the season precisely in Genoa, but on the blucerchiata side.
