Luca D’Angelo bluntly on Bari and Cagliari
Luca D’Angelo has his say on B playoff final
Luca D’Angelo, now former Pisa coach, spoke to ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport’ about the final of the Serie B playoffs, with Bari and Cagliari, starting with a 1-1 draw in the first leg, playing for promotion to Serie A on Sunday night at the San Nicola.
“Bari finished third and Cagliari fifth, and then made great playoffs by eliminating Parma. The result of the field should always be accepted, so I say this is the fairest final,” said D’Angelo, bluntly.
“Bari can win because they have two results out of three and they play at home in front of an exceptional crowd: these are all not insignificant advantages,” added the former coach of the Tuscan Nerazzurri. “Cagliari can win because they have a coach who knows very well what to do like Ranieri, who is very experienced, someone who is the top in this type of match.
For the Biancorossi, to return to the top flight, it will be enough not to lose while the islanders will not be able to afford results other than victory. Neither extra time nor penalties are planned.
