Under-20 World Cup, Italy falls in the final to Uruguay

Italy Under 20 placed second in the world championship. In the final, the Nunziata-coached team succumbed to Uruguay, conceding the decisive goal when there were four minutes left in the 90th minute.
The South Americans played the game and already in the first half showed all their strength. Even in the second half the Azzurrini struggled and not a little to come out of their shell and in the 86th minute it was Rodriguez’s header that broke the balance.
For Italy there remains the sorrow for not having climbed to the roof of the world, but there is also the satisfaction for a beautiful ride that made people dream and showcased many talents.
