Honda, Joan Mir declares forfeit for German GP

It’s raining wet at Honda. Following the forfeit of Alex Rins, who suffered a fractured tibia and fibula, Joan Mir will also not take part in the German Gp due to a hand problem suffered in the second free practice session at Mugello.

The former Suzuki centaur, as reported in the statement issued by Honda HRC, suffered a significant contusion to his right hand with synovial fluid and inflammation, which limits his strength and mobility.

“Joan will travel to Palma to visit his trusted traumatologist, Dr. Juan Garcias, to evaluate the best treatment and recovery plan from the injury in order to return to the track as soon as possible. He will not be replaced for the German GP,” this is the continuation of the note issued by the Japanese team.
