Sandro Gamba understands Milos Teodosic
Sandro Gamba’s words
Sandro Gamba on Repubblica-Milano had his say after the brawl at the end of game-2 between Olimpia Milano and Virtus Bologna.
“As a man of sports, I have to say that the reaction of the Virtus players, while exaggerated, I understand it: going to disturb, or worse, the players by the public is something out of this world. It has happened to me in the past, and more than once, and in none did I keep my hands in my pockets. I readily admit it. If they attack you, especially on the road, it’s not like you’re consulting the rules. Then, with a cool mind, there are clarifications, apologies and everything else. It was a (bad) playoff episode, the kind that shouldn’t happen and actually does happen again, which I wouldn’t even be exaggerating too much. Of course, the risk that the atmosphere in Bologna will be one of the particularly angry ones is to be reckoned with. And Armani will have to make an extra effort to keep calm, to put its head on the goal that is inside the playing rectangle and not outside: to place at least one shot, to return to Assago next Sunday on 3 to 1. From there, the road should be downhill.”
