Carlos Alcaraz returns to the match with Novak Djokovic and makes an admission
Carlos Alcaraz candid about Roland Garros semifinal.
Carlos Alcaraz, interviewed by ‘L’Equipe,’ returned to talk about the Roland Garros semifinal against Novak Djokovic, a match conditioned by the Murcian’s physical problems, which emerged overbearingly in the third and fourth sets.
“Physically I was fine, before the match,” Alcaraz said, “The problem is I loaded myself with extra pressure, I didn’t prepare well: the first two sets asked so much of me, if we put the tension on top of that…. In the end what happened was what everyone saw.”
Alcaraz had lost the first set dontro Djokovic (6-3 to the Serb), managing to prevail in the second (7-5). From there on, however, only two games won, one per set, compared to the twelve decisive for the qualification in the final of the Serb, then champion after beating Casper Ruud on Sunday, June 11.
