F1, Lewis Hamilton unveils his hope ahead of qualifying
Lewis Hamilton’s words after FP2
After setting the fastest time in the second practice session of the Canadian GP, Lewis Hamilton was blunt about Mercedes’ competitiveness this weekend and the possibility of wet qualifying.
“It was a strange day, given the problems in FP1. I felt really sorry for all the fans in the stands, but I’m glad we finally got on track and it was nice to have a 90-minute session. We haven’t had one like that in a long time,” the Mercedes driver began.
“I love driving on this track. I think everyone found it difficult with the bumps. Overall, the car was not bad, but we still have a lot of work to do. We just need to improve the attitude control and balance in the corners, then I think we will be okay. Overall, the single-seater is better than last year,” added the British driver.
“We’ve taken a big step forward from the start of the season, and I think the updates we brought to Monaco and Barcelona are starting to be felt. A wet qualifying could be a game changer. I love the rain and if it does rain I will try to have fun and take every opportunity that comes my way,” concluded Lewis Hamilton.
