Ferrari, Leclerc and Sainz see the light again
The two Ferrarista drivers commented on the free practice in Montreal
Steps forward for Ferrari after free practice for the Canadian GP, which saw Carlos Sainz place third and Charles Leclerc fifth. The Monegasque driver commented optimistically on the day, “It was only Friday and there is still a lot of work to do but overall it was a positive day because the feeling in the car was good.”
“The ranking does not fully reflect the value of our potential because I could not take advantage of the second set of soft tires because of the red flag. The pace also looks good and we will continue to work in this direction.”
Sainz was also satisfied: “The little track time available in PL1 led to a particularly intense PL2, in which we tried all three dry compounds and different set ups to improve the performance of the car.”
“I would say that we progressed well throughout the day: the result is quite positive even if we still lack some pace and absolute performance ahead of qualifying.”
