Jasmine Paolini remounted and defeated in Birmingham
It’s over right away in the Birmingham tournament for Jasmine Paolini: the Italian tennis player, world number 42, was defeated in three sets by Poland’s Magda Linette, who came out on top after a two-and-a-half hour match.
Paolini, after winning the first set 6-3, suffered the return of the number 20 in the WTA rankings, who closed the next two partials with scores of 7-5, 6-4.
Magda Linette, number three in the seeding, will face the winner of the match between Boulter and Zhu in the next round. In the late afternoon on court always on the grass of the English tournament the other Italian involved in play, Camila Giorgi from Macerata.
