Jannik Sinner was pictured in close-up with Carlos Alcaraz in one of the tournament’s promotional posters

Jannik Sinner among the most anticipated tennis players at Wimbledon: despite his not-so-happy moment, the Italian athlete continues to be considered one of the sport’s future greats, so much so that the organizers of the London tournament decided to portray him in close-up with Carlos Alcaraz in one of the event’s promotional posters.

The two “Next Gen” players are featured prominently in the poster with other legends who have made Wimbledon history such as Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Rafa Nadal, the Williams sisters, Bjorn Borg, and John McEnroe, as if to testify to the generational transition taking place.

The image made British fans discuss the absence of Andy Murray, the only Briton able to win the men’s Wimbledon tournament since the postwar period.
