MotoGP Netherlands GP: still Marco Bezzecchi in second free practice

With a time of 1’32″063 Marco Bezzecchi further improved the chrono obtained in the morning session and was also the fastest in the second free practice session of the Dutch Grand Prix at the MotoGP class Assen circuit. The Ducati Mooney VR46 Racing Team rider was 130 thousandths ahead of Ducati Pramac Racing Spaniard Jorge Martin and KTM Australian Jack Miller by 155.

Fourth at exactly two tenths Pecco Bagnaia, the world leader and reigning world champion zeroed in on a good lap on his factory Ducati toward the end of a difficult day, fifth was Spaniard Maverick Vinales on the Aprilia. Sixth was the 2021 world champion, Yamaha’s Frenchman Fabio Quartararo, despite fracturing his left big toe while jogging, seventh was Spaniard Aleix Espargaro on the other Aprilia. Nineteenth and finished down once again, but no longer newsworthy, was Spaniard Marc Marquez on the Honda.

In Moto3 the Spaniard of Honda Leopard Racing Jaume Masia with 1’41″579 set the best time of the day preceding by 403 thousandths Romano Fenati of Honda Rivacold Snipers Team and by 423 the Spaniard David Munoz of KTM Motorsports, fifth the category leader, the Spaniard of Red Bull KTM Tech3 Daniel Holgado.

Finally, in Moto2, the Briton Jake Dixon on a Kalex of the Inde GASGAS Aspar Team lapped in 1’36″463, the best time of the day, 146 thousandths better than the Spaniard Pedro Acosta on a Kalex of the Red Bull KTM Ajo team and 310 better than the other Spaniard Alonso Lopez on a Beta Tools SpeedUp Boscoscoscuro. Eighth was rainbow leader Tony Arbolino on Kalex of the Elf Marc VDS Racing Team.
