Spice on the hunt for a new helmsman
Spice, decisive hours for the bench
Spezia is turning over a new leaf after the painful relegation suffered at the end of the last championship. Obviously, the paths between the Ligurian club and Leonardo Semplici, who took over from Luca Gotti and failed to reach the salvation goal, have parted.
Two names have been circulating insistently in recent hours. They are those of Marco Baroni, who after having brought Lecce back to Serie A has kept the Salentini in the most important category, and Massimiliano Alvini, veteran of the adventure at Cremonese and eager for revenge after the exoneration suffered in grigiorosso.
Having arrived in Serie A in 2020, the Ligurians then played three championships in the top division, finishing the first in 15th place with Vincenzo Italiano, the architect of the historic promotion, on the bench, and the second in 16th place under Thiago Motta.
