Shabazz Napier did not hide all his joy to Eleven Sports microphones after Olimpia Milano won the Scudetto, beating Virtus Bologna 67-55 in Game 7.

“I’m excited for the crowd here, I’m excited for the team because we had to face so many problems. It’s great to play for Olimpia Milano,” he admitted. “I didn’t change the face of the team, I arrived bringing only emotion.

“Because when I arrived here it was already a very strong group, unfortunately injuries made the season complicated,” Napier added. “I just came here and I immediately approached it with great enthusiasm because this is a great team full of champions. Despite the ups and downs we managed to win a title that we deserved and that our fans deserved. I want to thank the public who have always supported us in this season of ups and downs.”
