Carlos Alcaraz triumphs for the first time in his career on grass. The Spanish champion beats Alex De Minaur by a double 6-4 in just over an hour and a half of play.

Deciding the match in fact are two surgical breaks obtained by the Murcian: in the first set, after saving two very delicate break points at 4-4, Alcaraz scores at the first useful opportunity and subsequently closes 6-4. In the second set the balance is broken at 2-2 with the seeding leader harpooning the break advantage and keeping it without too much trouble until the final 6-4.

For the Spanish tennis player this success also means a return to number one in the world, crucial in view of Wimbledon: Alcaraz will in fact be the number one seed at the Championships.
