MotoGp, Ducati: Pecco Bagnaia explains the key to success
Pecco Bagnaia enjoys success in Assen
Pecco Bagnaia is the face of happiness at the end of the Dutch Grand Prix: his success, however, stems from the uncertainties that emerged after the second place in Saturday’s Sprint race, as he himself admits to the microphones of ?Sky Sport’ in the post-race.
“This morning, with the team, we made a fairly important change, because on circuits like this we understood that the bike needs a completely different set-up. Yesterday’s Sprint race was also very useful to understand this aspect, we had the references to change and when we did I was immediately better.”
Among the biggest difficulties to overcome was the heat: “There were difficult conditions for the tires, in the race, and in fact we were lapping a second a lap slower than last year. Michelin had brought a slightly softer tire, which worked well but was a bit on the limit.”
