Cagliari, hot track in South America: Barcelona at the window
Cagliari, eyes on Liverpool Montevideo’s Fabricio Diaz
Cagliari is already at work to reinforce the squad available to coach Claudio Ranieri ahead of next season. In fact, the Rossoblù management is reportedly following several prospect profiles both in Italy and abroad.
According to reports in the Unione Sarda, the island club has reportedly set its sights on Fabricio Diaz, midfielder of Liverpool Montevideo and U20 World Champion with the Uruguay jersey. The Uruguayan club would be willing to let the young 2003-born player leave only in front of an offer of at least 8 million euros.
Cagliari, for its part, will have to reckon with ruthless competition, as several top clubs reportedly have their eyes on the South American midfielder, Barcelona, Lazio and Inter Milan above all.
