Lewis Hamilton: “Mercedes not suitable for this track”
Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton commented on his fifth-place finish in official qualifying for the Austrian GP: “It’s certainly not pole position, but I’ll try to work on it on Saturday. I think our race pace is around third place. The Red Bulls and Ferraris were the fastest today. We were simply focused on turning as fast as possible.”
“It was a tough session: our car in general has never adapted to this circuit, and it proved that again today. A really tough session, but it’s in the past now. Tomorrow we’ll try to do better in the Sprint Shootout and Sprint, then in the race we’ll start from fifth position and hopefully we can have a good GP from there.”
