The first round of the new F1 season confirmed the supremacy of Red Bull, which immediately recorded a one-two with Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez. Despite several brake problems, positive signs also came from Ferrari, as evidenced by Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc’s third and fourth place finishes. A few days before the second Gp of the season in Saudi Arabia, the Prancing Horse team principal Frederic Vasseur did not hide optimism ahead of the weekend in Jeddah.

"The first race of the season confirmed that we have worked in the right direction during the winter. In Bahrain we saw that in qualifying the values are very close, while the gap to Verstappen and Red Bull in the race è still quite significant. It's important forò that we have managed to reduce the gap compared to last year and this represents a good starting point and gives us even more confidence for the continuation of the season" began the Ferrari team principal as quoted by "FormulaPassion".

"A completely different test bed awaits us, sinceé we will be able to see if the improvements of the SF-24 that have been seen in these first weeks will also be seen on such aì different circuit. The track is characterized by a very smooth asphalt, to the point that tire degradation should be negligible, and we will find high-speed corners for the first time that will highlight the load and aerodynamic efficiency aspects of the car" continued the former Alfa Romeo manager.

"Charles and Carlos have always been comfortable on this track. I expect that we will still be among the best and if the right conditions present themselves we hope to be able to play for important results with both drivers both in qualifying and in the race" concluded Frederic Vasseur.
