F1, Charles Leclerc is adamant: “I need to improve.”
Charles Leclerc’s words after the Sprint Race
After finishing 12th in the Sprint Race of the Austrian GP, Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc bluntly analyzed his performance. “The difficulties were due to the track conditions and also to myself. I’m not at the level I want to be in these mixed conditions-I can’t find the right feeling with the car. There are no excuses and I need to improve in this situation. We need to grow and we are working, however, there always seems to be something wrong and from there on it becomes difficult to find the right feeling with the car,” the Monegasque driver told the microphones of “Sky Sport F1.”
Charles Leclerc later spoke about his feelings ahead of the race, “Now I look ahead and hope we can have a good Grand Prix tomorrow. Hopefully it will be a dry race, also because the race pace was good. Hopefully we can get our confidence back and push hard. I don’t think we can compete with Red Bull, but if there is an opportunity I will try.”
