Charles Leclerc spurs Ferrari and makes a promise for Silverstone
A podium and a performance that brings back good cheer.
Charles Leclerc finished second at the Austrian Grand Prix, preceded only by the uncatchable Max Verstappen. Net of the gap to the Red Bull champion, however, the signs shown by his Ferrari at Spielberg were extremely encouraging. This was confirmed by the words of the Monegasque himself, who was very positive at the end of the day.
“I would have liked even more to finish first, but that’s okay anyway,” Leclerc smiled to the microphones of ‘Sky Sport’. The most important thing, however, was to verify that the updates went in the right direction. We have learned a lot, and at Silverstone we aim to grow again. We are coming out of the tunnel, in the team we all breathe good, fresh air. Everyone’s motivation is very high.”
The goal now is to raise the bar even higher at the British Grand Prix. “At Silverstone we have often collected good results,” Leclerc stressed. “That track is among my favorites, and I will do everything I can to aim for victory. We on the track push, the guys in the factory push like beasts. We hope to take great satisfaction again, they remain realistic, however. Red Bull has indeed shown that they are still far ahead of Ferrari.”
