F1 Ferrari, Carlos Sainz won’t stand for it: ‘Frustrating’
Carlos Sainz goes down flat
Despite the compliments he received for his fourth-place finish in the Austrian GP, Carlos Sainz seems to be far from happy, not least because of the decisions made by the Ferrari race wall, and speaking to the microphones of ‘Sky Sport’ he does not hide his disappointment.
“It’s frustrating,” said the Spanish driver, “with the pace I had today and the overtaking I did I deserved more. Could I have held Verstappen’s pace in the first stint? Possible, but we will never know. What I can say is that I was behind Charles, everything was going well, even in terms of tires.”
“I was curious to see where I could get with the open road,” Sainz added, “but I did a team effort as agreed before the race. It’s certainly frustrating to have done this work and then to have lost three positions and six or seven seconds at the stop.”
